About:

HAVEaHEART in short, is an organization that raises awareness, and funds to save animals. Done through a collaboration of artist, a clothing line, devoted animal rescuers and enthusiasts brought together through passion.  We have captured and channeled the one of the strongest powers yet to be known; ‘the power of art’.  With a delightful complimentary combination and clash between music, photography, art, and a unique clothing line. Hold on to your chairs, movements are being made and things may get hairy.  We are a power.. not to be reckoned with.

 

HAVEaHEART Clothing: The clothing line is aimed to raise awareness in a fun, original, spunky way. With catchy phrases and wonderful designs (Designs by Christine Hale), you will want your paws all over our line. Paws off, hands on; buying our clothes is a hands – on way to directly support local abandoned animals.

 

HAVEaHEART Events: 

v    Benefit Shows: Monthly benefit shows with fantastic bands will be held to raise money to support local rescue animals. Music of all genres, however we will keep to one genre per-show. We realize a solo acoustic opening for a death metal band may not be the best idea. However whether you wear leather, acid wash, or plaid pants (or none at all) and like pit-bulls, pokemon or tyrannosaurus rexes.. we are all in it for a good cause. 

v    Parties: You all do it every weekend anyways, why not do it for a good cause? Parties are thrown through out the year, aimed at raising awareness for a specific cause while bringing together social groups and demographics that do not usually attend the sit-down, bow-tie dinner fundraisers.

v    Awareness/Other Events: As mentioned above, who doesn’t love a sit down bow-tie dinner? What better time to unbury and dust off your noeud papillon? Point being, we have a few more formal events that will take place through out the year. Mainly to provide an opportunity to show of your bow ties, but also to raise money and awareness for pressing animal rights related causes.

 

HAVEaHEART Photography: A picture says a thousands words, right. We’ll we would rather take a picture than say a thousand words. Our photography captures the spirits of rescued animals; whether happy, or heart broken. While focusing on animals in photography we also have many other prints available of all sorts of fantastic photography which would look great in that empty space in your hall way. Not to mention, all precedes goes towards saving lives.

 

HAVEaHEART Take Action!: It is always action time in the animal rescuing and awareness world. Where to start? We will keep you up-to-date in pressing animal rights awareness issues in Montreal, Canada and around the world. With informative articles, resources, links, videos.. pictures (you get the point). These articles will raise awareness and give you the tools and petitions to sign to help make the difference. Sure you have already been told this, but you really can help make a difference!

 

HAVEaHEART Music: 'Music heals’ they say, well in this case.. music does literally heal. We will be holding monthly benefit shows to raise money, to (you guessed it) save lives. Cute ‘lil furry balls-of-life, lives. Aside from the monthly benefit shows we will also be releasing mix-tapes of bands that we love, who have played shows for us. To say the least, the bands up our selves are un-discovered jewels. You will be ecstatic to discover, and tell all your friends about them (like The Hoof and The Heel for instance). This is a great way to support local artist, supporting local rescues! Two birds, one stone - yes pun intended, please do not stone birds. Local artists are homeless and starving too; maybe not homeless, or starving, but could get there with-out support. Of course we will also keep you up-to-date with the; shows, CD releases, new songs, and tours of our 'gold-star' supporting bands. Not to mention, the bands who support us are obviously animal lovers, and down to earth awesome people. Who would not want to support them in return?
